Student Ministry

Whoever you are, wherever you're from, you are welcome here.

The Student Ministry at Highland is focused on helping middle school and high school students to develop a strong biblical worldview, and to equip  them with the tools they need to grow in their journey with Jesus. To accomplish this task, this ministry is built on weekly, relevant bible teaching with real-life application, small group interaction, and seasonal fellowship events/activities, as well as camps and retreats.

Meet our youth Pastor

Pastor Austin comes to us from Ellijay, Georgia. He began his ministry at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters, a camp focused on reaching students with the Gospel. It was there that he met his wife, Britney, while they were both serving.
Austin enjoys playing guitar, writing songs, and giving guitar lessons. He also loves reading and is currently working on a goal to read 25 books this year. Austin grew up riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes and still enjoys being outdoors.
He and Britney have been marreid almost 5 years and have two children, James and Milo.

Sunday Mornings

Join us Sunday mornings at 9:15 as we dive into God’s Word and grow together in faith. Our youth group is all about building strong relationships, deepening our understanding of the Bible, and learning what it means to be true disciples of Jesus. Whether you're new or have been coming for years, there's a place for you here!

Wednesday nights - Summer

Summer is here, and so is a fresh twist on Wednesday nights for our youth! We’re stepping out of the classroom and into the community with a new series we’re calling “Refresh. & Refuel.”
Each Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00 pm, our youth group will visit a local spot for a sweet treat—think ice cream, coffee, or something cool to beat the heat. But it’s not just about the snacks! We’ll also take time to connect, reflect, and grow together through a short devotional and meaningful conversations.
This is a chance for students to deepen friendships and keep their faith growing strong all summer long.
